- Tape went to Buluvu to follow up on the construction of firewood risen stands for firewood r,.
She reached in the village and was welcomed by kansiime the Chairperson of the and she asked her to start walking home to home inspecting their firewood storages.
They walked through 18 homes and at least 15 homes had strong firewood risen stands for firewood storage though some lacked wood stocked to be used during the rainy season. Tape encouraged those homes to utilize the firewood risen stands by stocking them with firewood that they can use during the time of scarcity.
She also urged those who completely lacked firewood risen stands to talk to their husbands to build for them strong firewood storage that cannot easily collapse to avoid accidents.she also reminded them that if they have firewood stocked even if it started raining they will to be stressed or worried.
She also observed that most people cook on their stoves on daily basis which had improved sanitation and hygiene because less firewood used, produce less smoke that is easy to clean,
Namukose told Tape that her kitchen has ever got burnt as result of cooking on open flames. She also urged kansime together with the group members to follow up and ensure sustainability.
Tape also encouraged them to continue smearing their home facilities so that they can look neat and last longer
