Notes
Introduction Adolescent refers to the transitional phase of development between childhood and adulthood. Puberty is the time when a boy or girls becomes sexually mature. This stages start at 12 and 16 for boys and for the girls 10 to 14. This causes physical changes for both boys and girls. This lesson is aimed at educating children to be aware of any body change so that they can deal with it without being scared. Overview When Manuela reached the school, she found kids already in their life skills class, she greeted them and asked how many people did their homework, all most all the pupils did the homework, then she asked for the representative to come in front and present their findings. Pupils presented by Adolescent, Puberty and all the signs in boys and girls respectively. After that, Manuela reviewed the previous lesson with the pupils, this was good because it was pupils centered. After all that, Manuela went on and reviewed the home work together with the pupils. Manuela advised the pupils not be afraid of those changes because it’s normal and every body goes through it. She also told them it’s not time for getting married actually they should be very careful because they may be tempted to do things which will make them regret. After that, Manuela taught about sex education, she started by asking what is sex education?Pupils started to laugh than giving her the answers, then later Manuela explained to them. She also explained to the pupils the values of teaching sex education in school, she told them because at home parents fear to talk to their children about sex because it’s a taboo according to the culture. This has made many children to start having sex because they don’t know what are the dangers of practicing early sex. Manuela went on and advised the pupils to abstain from sex completely because it’s dangerous, she also told the pupils that God blessed the sex in marriages not out of marriage, sex before marriage is a sin. She even told them to keep away from sexual activities that cam tempt them to become victims of problems that comes out of early sex practice. Finally, Manuela informed the pupils that next week Monday they will be doing their post test just in if the virus is not out yet in the country, but she said she will communicate to their life skills teacher.
