- Notes
- Jeska and Tape found the participants when they had already gathered at the meeting place. The welcomed them with joy and excitement.
Kibo staff divided the group into two whereby Jeska joined one group and Tape joined the other group.
Kibo staff worked with two different groups to collect the dirt, mixed it with grass that the community had cut before and asked the groups to join them to stamp the dirt. This was done while singing and dancing showing how excited they were for the program.
When the dirt was ready, kibo staff practically taught two different groups how to cut banana stems. Kibo staff later built the two different stoves in two identified Participants. They did this as they explained the whole process to the participants.
They asked them to pay attention and ask questions where they did not understand because the goal is to empower them with a skill of building stoves so that they can build for themselves and build for others in form of business.
When the participants show two complete stoves there very excited and thanked kibo for implementing this program in their village. Kibo staff encouraged them to keep on participating in any development program because practice makes perfect.
