Notes
Tom and Danny made a visit to mpumiro village and when they arrived, they were welcomed by the chairman of the village who took them around the village as they checked homes to see facility constructions and encouraging residents to improve on there sanitation and hygiene. They started moving from the chairman’s home and visited his brothers home were they found a new latrine. He had also constructed the dish rack. In another home, they found when the resident had finished to reconstruct a new latrine after the old latrine had collapsed. His neighbor had also finished constructing the slab of the latrine and construction of the structure was remaining. Tom advised the chairman to meet with the resident and encourage him to finish the slab. In another home, they found a new dish rack while in the vhts home, the construction of a,new kitchen had recently been started. The vht had also encouraged his neighbor to start on a new latrine. The lady has started on the latrine and the pit was at a depth of 6ft. Tom and the chairman advised her to work and improve on it and finish it soon. In one home of Mr Gonza, he has recently constructed the latrine as well as the new hand washing stand. Tom encouraged him to contribute for an iron sheet so he can be able to roof his newly constructed latrine so that it does not collapse. They also visited the home of an elderly woman who is constructing a new latrine. She said she was saving money to start on the construction.
