- Harriet went to Igerera B to meet the local leaders and the committee members for the healthy and Safe kitchens program in this village. The meeting was intended to discuss how best to resume working in the village alongside following the ministry of Health guide lines. She found the chairperson LC1 already at the meeting place and the hand washing jerrycan with soap was already in place . Who ever came to the meeting was washing hands before they joined as well as maintained the social distance. Harriet asked her how they are coping up with the current situation of covid 19 and they told her that they always try to wash hands with soap, also eating a lot of fruits that will help them boost their immune system According to the ministry of health. Harriet asked them to share with her their feelings about kibo resuming its work in the village. They said that for them they are very ready for kibo to resume working with them since they will able to follow the ministry of health guidelines like not meeting more than five people for the case of this program. Harriet told them that this requires a lot of preparation and as they think more about this they should first check them on whether their home facilities are well smeared,if not to do so and construct the firewood storage meanwhile as they continue thinking on how best they can resume building stoves. Harriet told them that kibo will begin with follow ups on the home facilities and some stoves that were built before the covid 19 and see how they are. Kibo will also guide them Incase of any challenge Incase identified. One of the member asked Harriet when this follow up will she told them very soon but she couldn’t tell them the date because she wanted to find them in their day today life in order to help them improve. The committee members thanked kibo for such a loving heart during this difficult time they promised to follow the ministry of Healthy guide lines as kibo work with them in their village.
