Ida went to Ivukula sub county to meet with the CDO and discuss the way forward about the Social and Spiritual empowerment program in Budumba which is found in Ivukula sub county. The CDO wasn’t in office because he/ she had gone for other office duties. The VHT took Ida to sign in the visitors book and was given the phone numbers for both the CDO and the sub county chief.
Ida proceeded to Budumba where she met the LC1 chairperson and some three members. Only the chairperson had a mask on but the rest didn’t have.
Ida asked the Otim the group leader to bring a jerrycan of water so that those present wash their hands before doing anything. Good enough kibo had given all the staff a piece of soap to use in case they needed and gave five masks to be given to the community members.
The members kept social distance and the meeting went on well with everyone masked!
The community leaders agreed with the new program policies of meeting only Three to four people only.
Ida will continue talking to the leaders and some members to see how things will work out.
David (chairperson) closed with a prayer.
