Notes
Harriet went to Bulyowa to meet the local leaders and discuss with them how to resume working in their village following the ministry of Healthy guidelines. He found members waiting for the meeting and the hand washing facilities was in place and who ever turned up for the meeting washed hands first before the meeting which was so encouraging. The meeting begun with an Open prayer that was led by Nankwaga Agnes. Harriet asked them to share with her about covid 19 information and they told her that it can be prevented through washing hands, avoid touching their soft parts like mouth, nose and eyes. Mr. Mpata James said that they also encourage people to wear face masks which they don’t have in their village. Harriet told them that these masks are locally made and encouraged them to find some one from their village and ask him or her to make for them masks that they can get a cheap market other than waiting for the government masks which may take long to reach their village. She also reminded them that it is now mandatory for every one to wear a mask when ever he/ she is in a public place. One member ( Nabirye said that they rarely go to public places since the covid 19 outbreak. Harriet reminded them that they are some public places they can avoid like going to the hospital Incase they become sick because sick is unplanned and no one will attend to them with out face masks. Members realized the value of masks and said that since they have some one in their village with a showing machine they will put funds together and give her business. They also discussed on how kibo can work with them during this period of covid 19 whereby they encouraged kibo to do more of village follow ups that is look at the stoves usage, smearing and construction of firewood risen stands because some people declined and they need to be reminded or encouraged. Harriet told them that that is a good idea and encouraging them to stay encouraging one another to achieve development as well as fight covid 19. The chairperson LC1 Mr. Mugabi Emmanuel thanked kibo and related Kibo’s service to the life of sacrifice by deciding to come to their village during this time as Christ like life.He said that on behalf of his village they will always pray as they practice preventive measures of Covid 19 and believes that one day covid 19 will be no more.
