- Notes
- Harriet found when the participants had already gathered materials at the home that they had identified to build the first demonstration stove on their own. They mixed, stamped the dirt and tried to build the stove. They succeeded in mixing grass and water as well as stamping the dirt. They tried to build a stove but could not remember the direction to put a stove. Harriet told them that they need to follow the wind direction or else if the stove is put in direction that wind blows too much smoke will be contained in the kitchen. Also they could not build the stove properly and Harriet corrected their mistakes. The group thanked Harriet for being patient with them despite being slow learners.
