- Irene visited maliga to carry out a follow up on the discussion they had about the government’s guidelines regarding COVID and the other related diseases.
The chair person informed Irene that their was a drop in the number of people visiting the health facility and taking children for immunization for fear of contracting the disease so he requested that Irene talks to the community members on the way they should protect while visiting the hospitals and the benefits of immunization despite the virus.
Irene thanked the chairman for opening up about his community because not all of them want to talk about the issues in their community, so during their door to door visit she talked to all the members about not only COVID but also other diseases that can claim their lives if not treated.
She also requested the members to follow the guidelines, put on masks while in public places, visiting hospitals, wash hands frequently, sneezing from the elbow ,avoiding the public places if possible. She also advised them to always wear a mask while going to hospital and avoid torching their faces. She then asked the members to visit the hospital whenever they are feeling unwell.
