Bible Lesson Five: God’s forgiveness,Bible Lesson 7: The Tongue 

Notes

Ida went to Maliga to teach about God’s forgiveness and also do some preview on the Tongue lesson. She started with the Tongue preview which led her in reteaching it again because those present didn’t remember anything. She told the mice story which they all agreed that they do the same thing that the mice did. Let’s try to listen and understand the whole story not only a phrase. Ida gave them a memory verse from Ephesians 4:29 which they all recited. After the recap, Ida asked the community if there was any one who has ever been forgiven or forgave someone. The majority have been forgiven and also forgave only that they still feel bad when they see those they forgave. They still remember everything they did to them. Ida told them the story of the unforgiving servant which made all them laugh. When asked what was funny, Fida said that they are the same as the servant who refused to forgive his fellow workmate. Ida went on and asked that if you are the same as the unforgiving servant, What and how are you going to change? Kasinga said that they should do what the Bible says. To forgive so as to be forgiven. Jesus emphasized so much on forgiveness. Even we see it in the Lord’s prayer. Fida said that after forgiving them, they still do something wrong again, until when or how many times do they need to continue forgiving? Ida asked the members present to help her and answer Fida’s question. Kasinga stood and said that Jesus said that we must forgive and forgive unceasingly. The rest clapped and promised to try forgiving others but doubted if they will ever forget. Ida asked Muzafaru to close with a prayer.

One member (Fida Kasinga) got a goat from Kibo but now she has a cow.

Program Critical Needs

Covid has come with many new things to change which is hard to put into practice eg wearing masks. This village needs sensitization on wearing masks because they have stubbornly refused to wear them.

Program Ownership

The chairperson is doing a great job mobilizing community members.

Other Program Observations

Stoves program members visit each other to find out issues, if any is found, they all gather and put heads together and solve the problem, if they cannot solve the problem,that’s when they call Kibo to come. But so far they have managed to solve those problems.

Prepare for the next meeting and also come with masks.
