- Alex went back to Naibowa to continue with the supervision of the drilling exercise. The second day of borehole drilling continued and after hitting the first water from 30M, more water was got as drilling continued on 24/07/2020 and 25/ 07 2020. 61M were drilled and an estimated 2500L per hour was got. It’s assumed that this might be more during the pump testing process. Also the water cleared quickly since it was got from a rock. The village people were very happy and danced showing for two days with Joy. The next step will be pump testing and installation expected soon. Alex also checked on the borehole that had been down for more than two years in the upper part of the village(Bufesa section). This borehole was repaired a week ago by a politician who is aspiring for MP seat in this area. The borehole was installed with new pipes, rods, head assembly and water tank. This offloads the burden from kibo because Kibo was preparing to partner with the village this borehole in a near future. The village will be encouraged to build a fence around it and revive the water user committee.

Alex visited the borehole that was recently repaired by an aspiring member of parliament. This same borehole had been considered for repair by kibo in partnership with the village but looks like it’s done
