Notes
Harriet went to Bulyowa to evaluate the Healthy and Safe kitchen program at the end of the program. Her plan was to walk home to home looking at the Healthy and Safe kitchen facilities and ask questions as she records the participants response. On her way to the village she called the chairperson of the Healthy and Safe kitchen program(Mr.Waako Andrew)who told her that it will be a successful day because no any other activity is going on the village. She reached in the village and started walking home home to home while interviewing participants as she recorded their responses. The common observation was most people lacked dish racks because they were destroyed by rain . Most people participates in growing community crops, raring animals, group saving as the major source of income thus a sign of economic growth. Also they reported that the stoves helped them to cook food fast by using less firewood. Some people who lacked firewood storages were encouraged to put them in place because as kibo staff asked them questions which also helped to assess themselves thus room for improvement. Harriet was still evaluating the participants and a group of Arabs brought cows to be slaughtered in the village to commence the moslem Idd Adhua which attracted all the members to go the two mosques in the village to get free meat. HARRIET could not hold these people in their homes to be interviewed because they all needed free meat to share with their family
