Notes
Martin went to Ibaako, he walked around with the Chairman LC1 and the sanitation committee members. Their intention was to continue promoting hand washing stands and following on facility standards. But good enough the big number of homes have worked on their home facilities like latrines, rubbish pits dish racks, kitchens and shower areas, but others need more encouragement about standards and maintenance and some homes are still working on their new sanitation facilities like Bobu Mugoya, he is a younger man, he is alone and not yet married, but the group was so encouraged to see that he worked on his new latrine with bricks and cement, it’s plastered, Fatima Mbabali, she is a widow, an old woman, but she worked hard on her new latrine, two rooms and the shower areas also two rooms, for her self and for the visitors, Mulani Kakaire, promised to construct the shower area in one week, Namulondo Safa replaces his old latrine with bricks and cement and it’s roofed and it’s still deeper, Samuel Samanya, he always stay in Kampala all the time, but he did a great work, he hired someone from there to come and dig for him the new pit latrine. And that man promised to do that work in one week, because he is already in that village. And the group saw him at Samanya’s home fixing the pick axe for digging the pit latrine. And the group was also promoting the hand washing stands home to home, because they can not bring them together due to Covid 19, and to manage the distancing which can keep them safe from that virus. The residents are willing to work on the hand washing stands, so that they can wash their hands every day and every time to be clean and to prevent some diseases like malaria, diarrhea, typhoid plus Covid, which is putting much pressure the hall world. As kibo is continuing to work in that community as well as the village, the group walked around in 32homes. ,
