- Notes
- Tape went to the lower side of the village to follow up on the construction of the high raised firewood storages and smearing of the kitchens and stoves. When she got there, She went straight to the chairperson’s home and found four program leaders with some members sitting under a tree outside her home.
They welcomed her and then agreed to walk through the village and check on some facilities which needed repair and improvement especially the kitchens and stoves.
Together as they moved around, they visited some homes which still lucked kitchens and stoves. Most members were found cooking on their stoves although they needed to be smeared because they had deep cracks which would easily destroy them.
One of the men in the village was found constructing a kitchen for his wife who wished to also have a fuel efficient stove so as to get rid of the challenges faced while cooking on a three stones open stove. This was so encouraging to see and Tape went ahead encouraging each member to improve on all their facilities such as smearing all their buildings and stoves, reconstruction of the kitchen roofs and firewood storages.
She also reminded them how stocking firewood in their storages would save them in times of scarcity. The members were so grateful for the advice given that day and the meeting came to an end wishing one another a happy healthy life.
