Notes
Jeska went to Kalitumba to build a demonstration stove in the lower section . She found the participants waiting for her at the meeting place with the materials that will be used for building stoves. For example banana stems, grass, old source pans , basins, a Shovel ,water except dirt because they did not know the exact type of dirt that will be used. The group had already chosen a participant to get a demonstration stove. The group had chosen Zaituna to get a demonstration stove because she was very committed to the group.since she is also a leader of this group they wanted to test her by offering her the chance first so that she becomes more committed. She looked at the materials the group had already gathered and were all good.she asked the group to walk with her and search for the termite dirt. The termite dirt was identified.,Jeska together with the community collected termite dirt . The interesting part of it the children were also interested and participated in collecting the dirt and stamping it. Jeska practically taught the participants how to mix the dirt and grass at a ratio of two to one. She asked the participants also to participate in stamping the dirt. They did this with joy and excitement.together as a group moved the dirt into the kitchen. Jeska demonstrated to the group how to measure banana stems that will be used to build stoves. Jeska practically build a demonstration stove as she explained the whole process to the community. She did this as she explained the whole process to the community.she asked them to be observant and ask questions where they did not understand because Kibo’s goal is to teach participants to build stoves so that they can build stoves on their own. The participants thanked kibo for loving them by empowering them with a skill of building stoves especially in the lower section that was earlier not involved due to their own community conflicts. They promised to work together as a group until their achieve the healthy and Safe kitchen program is achieved. Jeska told the group to continue cutting grass that will be used to build more stoves for the rest of the members in the group.
