Notes
Irene went to kagulu village to meet with the family members of yunusu after he had been discharged from the children’s hospital where he had been treated for malnutrition. The meeting was to find out the way forward on how to take care of the baby after the hospital because the baby needed feeding and other basic needs which the family had to take care of, In our meeting yunusu’s grand mother thanked kibo for all the support and requested the family to join hands so as to take care of yunusu so that the next time they return to hospital he is healthier. Several members of the family volunteered to come up and take responsibility of several things, the chairman also volunteered to be buying porridge for him until he gets better. At least the members took full responsibility of him and that’s what Irene expected. Irene also invited one of the members from the children and family unit to give more advise and emphasis on the punishments given to parents who neglect their responsibilities. Irene continued to meet some of the mothers who are expected to give birth this month gladly some had their birth bags ready and I had the chance to meet their husbands for preparedness.
