Tom made a visit to kishaike village to check on hand washing improvements as well as construction of other facilities. When he arrived in the village, he was welcomed by the chairman and the committee members. They moved on the lower section of the village were they saw new dish racks, hand washing stand and latrines. Tom and the committee members encouraged the residents to continue working hard to improve on their sanitation and hygiene standards. Tom also encouraged one VHT from the lower section to also learn how to construct the hand washing stand. This is after only two residents have been spearheading the construction of the hand washing stands. Tom and the committee members demonstrate to the vht how to construct the he hand washing stands. He said he was going to take on the lower section so that it improves. Tom and the committee members also spent time with other residents encouraging them on the improvements on their shower facilities as well as the improvements on the latrine stands. On the side of latrines, their has been and improvement. One resident called Mr Enock recently constructed a new latrine. This is after a very long time when Tom and the committee members have been encouraging him. Tom also encouraged him to construct the dish racks, a new shower facility and hand washing stand.
