- Notes
- Harriet found a few participants at the meeting place. Later other members joined, she asked them to try to take out banana stems from two stoves when Harriet is watching to find out if they have mastered the skill. The group divided them selves into two groups lead by the two active men( kyalita and Mukembo) . The group led by Kyalita (a man) successfully removed banana stems and snapped the stove very well while the group led by Mukembe ( a man) forgot a banana stem in the vent. Harriet corrected their mistakes and she told them that if the vent is not open the stove will not be effective because smoke will be contained in the kitchen. She also reminded them that the stoves has five holes that are created by banana stems and encouraged them that when ever they are taking out banana stems they should ensure that all the five banana stems are taken out for the stove to be effective. The community promised Harriet that they will keep on practicing until they become perfect.
