Notes
Suzan went to the lower section of the village purposely to guide the members as they build the fuel efficient stove for the other members who didn’t have kitchens by then. When she got there, she went to the chairperson’s home and found some group members organizing to go to the home where the stove was going to be built. On reaching there, they found when the members had already begun building the stove in the kitchen and good enough it was placed at a right wind direction and were at a level of measuring the banana stems. One of the men who was actively participating in the building, requested Suzan to guide them on how to place the stems in the stove in the right way since some of the members present had just joined the healthy and safe kitchens program. Suzan went ahead and showed them how to fix the stems in the stove because this was one of the most important step in stove building, and without doing it right, the stove would bend and not cook well as expected. She encouraged the members to watch carefully and try to master the skills very well so that they would be able to build more stoves for other members on their own sometimes without any guidance. Later after,Suzan went and visited the remaining members who lucked the stoves but managed to construct the kitchens. She advised them to improve on all their facilities such as the dish racks, firewood storages and the kitchen roofs so that everything would look neat at home. She thanked them for participating in the program activities and the meeting came to an end.
