Notes
David and Steven went to bulyowa village for a meeting aimed at how the members could contribute money towards their borehole account and also continuing encouraging those few members who had not improved on their sanitation facilities in their different homes. They started by monitoring those homes that had not completed working on their hygiene facilities for example lolIan,s pit which is about 4 feet, Moses pit about 6feet,nviri,laliyo,s son also with a pit about 9 feet. They told the above mentioned members to join them in the meeting because they used not to always love to attend sanitation meetings. They told David that they fear to be talked about in front of the village meetings. Therefore David told them to double their effort because it is a rainy season the ground is softer for digging a pit latrine. They started the meeting by thanking the majority of the community members who had completed working and improved on their hygiene standards. David also thanked mr mpata and the vice chairman for having been the key figure in the sanitation progress and also encouraged all members to continue working together as they keep encouraging lolIan and his friends who dont yet meet the required set hygiene standards. They said that lolIan and his friends were given four days to complete their latrines and other facilities. They said that the only way how to get every member to pay for the borehole account was to lock up both boreholes and the caretakers only to open for only those who will have completed their contributions. They said that they had only 97000 shillings yet Kibo told them to contribute 200000 per each borehole therefore the two boreholes to contribute 400000 shillings. David requested them to commit themselves on when they will have finished their borehole contributions and they said towards the the end of the next week Wednesday.David continued encouraging them to start working together for the good development of their village. The Kibo staff preached so much about loving each even helping the helpless like mr Bosco who have been a slow workers in improving on their sanitation standards. They also left an assignment to the community members to bring good standardized poles for fencing of their borehole, as the ladies were told to be bringing stones for the soak pits during the process of them getting water from the borehole. In general the community members have worked and improved on their sanitation facilities as they are in their upper 90,s on latrine coverage and other home hygiene facilities except for the the three members. They will be going back to bulyowa to monitor on the borehole contributions and on the assignment David and Martin left the members of if they would have done their roles and responsibilities towards their borehole.
