David was in kirwanire village. His intention of going there was to follow up on the construction of new sanitation and hygiene facilities of the village as well as focusing on the hand washing construction and the home which were still lagging behind. As David was in the village he was joined by Fraouk the youth leader and Bogere Hasani the village chairman . They were moving home to home in the trading centre encouraging some home which were still lagging behind to work and getting improved. Out of the different homes David and the village leaders they visited this is what impressed them so much ,They found some good sanitation work progress of kalulu Magidu,s pit because he had continued digging it to about 9/feet deeper than before . That steady progress encouraged so much David ,Farouk and the village chairman because before that improvements he used to be the most complicated members who could keep on encouraging the rest not to work. So David , Farouk and the village chairman were so much encouraged and because of that Frouk even promised to help him during when it cames to the time of kalulu Magidu constructing his hand washing stands. David appreciated frouk,s idea of help to the other . Therefore David instead kept on encouraging kalulu to double his efforts since the set deadline date was getting pre closer. They continued moving into quite a good number of homes monitoring and checking on the different stages of the sanitation work progress. But since the WASH ,s monthly target was to do with hand washing stands construction. Some homes in the trading centre were just getting to start to work . On that note David encouraged most of the homes which were just getting to start to work more harder and effectively since the time of the entire village working on the hand washing stands was almost not meeting the David and Steven,s monthly deadline date. Also David continued advising the members in the trading centre working harder and smarter to avoid them getting disturbed by the on going rains. Because it would affect the new constructed sanitation facilities which they had just started constructing. The owners of the above mentioned homes which were still lagging behind, they even promised David that they will be trying to double their effort . Some even continued saying that they would also love getting changed like their neighbors in the lower and the upper section. In general according to David,s overview was that even the trading centre was willing to work hard and getting improved. 

Next Visit

2020-08-31 - Purpose: To assess the sanitation progress and the standardization of the rest of the sanitation facilities in the village.

Program Success

Yes they are busy working hard to improve on their sanitation facilities for example the hand washing stands,dish-racks , rubbish pits digging of the new latrine pits and the smearing of the kitchens and houses .

Program Critical Needs

More sanitation improvements are required in the different homes in order to meet the required sanitation standards.

The sanitation committee members are so active and cooperative
