Notes
Martin went to Ibaako, to meet with the sanitation committee members to discuss about the program, to sett the goals for the month of September for the second evaluation. He fast walked around with the Chairman LC1 and sanitation committee members, to check on the homes that have not yet constructed their sanitation facilities like hand washing stands and the new latrines. But good enough some homes have worked on their hand washing stands and the new latrine constructions like Byogelo Mugoya, her new latrine and the kitchen there are under construction and she worked on her new dish rack, but it’s not on a good standard. So Martin and the group was encouraging her to construct a new model of dish rack, Nabirye Milabu, she is an old woman, but good enough she worked on her new latrine two rooms and a shower area, it’s just remaining roofing only, Sam Kerementi dug a new pit latrine 30ft deeper two Years back, but her constructed it in a strong way with bricks and cement in kibo’s program, two rooms and the shower area. On the side of hand washing stands, the residents have worked on them so hard. Others are just waiting for the small jerrycans for washing their hands after visiting their latrines, to prevent some diseases like malaria, diarrhea and typhoid. After that Martin had a brief meeting with the Chairman LC1 and the sanitation committee members to discuss about the program. They decided that every month to simplify the work, if it’s a new latrine constructions, they are going to work on that. So every month they are going to select one facility, and they work on that. As kibo is still working in that community as well as the village, the group walked 32homes.
