Irene went to kagulu to teach about gastrointestinal worms types,general signs and symptoms,prevention and treatment. Irene started with a review of the previous lesson then asked the community members to give the meaning of intestinal worms and with different views Irene explained that it’s a condition in which parasites infect the gastrointestinal tract of the human and other animals and can be anywhere in the body. Irene then explained the different types like round worms,thread worm,and others.then after the members discussed the signs and symptoms which included anal itching,anaemia,vomiting, and prevention them by practicing good hygiene,avoid walking bare footed, also taking deworming medication.
