Tom went to kishaike village to meet and take the community through the process of creating and enacting bylaws.
When Tom reaches to the village, he found when there were members waiting at the meeting and after a short while the meeting started. They first section of the meeting was used to fill the position of the caretaker of the borehole.
This position was filled and was taken by a lady. Tom also encouraged the committee on the lessons learned earlier.
After that the session of enacting the bylaws was started and the community participated accordingly.
Some of the laws enacted included; keeping the borehole clean, collecting money, respecting each other as borehole users, closing the borehole and opening at the agreed upon time, well usage of the borehole as well as respecting the property of people that surround the borehole.
All the residents who were present accepted the bylaws and promised to keep and respect the laws set in place.
After enacting the bylaws, the chairman of the village urged all borehole users to rely mostly on the respect of each other as they use the borehole. Tom also emphasized unity and respect for each other as the core foundations for the sustainability of the borehole.
