Notes
When Tom arrived in the village, he found when the vhts were waiting for him in the trading center. They decided together that they move around the trading center as well as the lower section. While moving in the trading center, they found a man in the pit digging. Tom asked whose latrine it was and a lady and her husband came out who are constructing the latrine for their family. The man said that he wants to construct a better latrine which even his grand children will use in the future. The chairman has recently also started construction on his latrine and he's just waiting to construct the floor and the construction will start. In the lower, they also found several latrines under construction but in one family, Tom called the district probation officer and reported the situation where the two men in this family are not taking good care of there home. They both as men sleep in small brick house while the wife and the children sleep in a very small mud hut. Because they are about to harvest their G-nuts, Tom thought it would be good for them to spend the money on the house instead of taking it to the bar. Tom called the probation officer and the family agreed to talk to her during the next visit. Tom also moved and found in another two homes when they have started digging the pits as well as constructing dish racks.
