Notes
Suzan in company of two visitors George and Isaac went to Ituba Namalowe village to monitor the smearing of the program facilities and the stoves that were built by the members. When they arrived there, they met some of the Healthy and Safe kitchen committee members sitting around the trading center discussing about some village issues with other members. The members welcomed Suzan and the visitors to the village and one of the leaders made a few updates upon the program activities so far carried out and about the other members who were still busy attending to their gardens since it had rained heavily in the previous night. Together they agreed and began walking around the village visiting home to home while monitoring the program facilities. During the process, Suzan found that some members had improved on their sanitation and hygiene in away that they had smeared their main house, kitchens, latrines, shower areas and the energy saving stoves while others were planning to do so when they find free time. Suzan encouraged the members to keep smearing their stoves once in a while so as to avoid cracks which would destroy it. She also requested some members who had not began using their stoves for cooking to begin using it once it made one month, for it would have dried up by this time. Suzan thanked the members for maintaining their facilities and encouraged them to continue with the same spirit of working together. The members thanked Kibo group for the love they showed to them and promised to always maintain their sanitation and hygiene for a healthy living.Together they agreed on the date that the next meeting would take place and the meeting came to an end.
