Notes
Alex and Chris visited Bukudumira village, this was intended to to discuss with the community members what transpired from their meeting with the CDO and also to find out whether they got the registration certificate and in which bank they hope to open the account. This was important because Alex and Chris wanted every member to participate in the discussion and generate ideas. In the meeting,13 women and 15 men attended however ,most of these were couples which reflected how the husbands and wives were committed to working together a thing Kibo has been emphasizing much on. In the meeting a reasonable number of youths and children was observed, they were so attentive and perhaps they contributed to discussions too, it was encouraging to see children and there parents discussing how to develop their area. When asked about the bank account, the chairperson said he wasn’t able to get in touch with the CDO because he was out of office but promised to go back to his office on Monday. At the end of the meeting Alex, Chris and all the members went to check on the maize garden the group is currently working on, we found that the maize is growing well and is in weeding stage however the group decided to weed in turns were every member has been allocated a day of weeding. Alex promised to visit with the CDO and mobilized the members to be around because they will get a chance to ask any question and get to understand how they will operate their group account.
