Martin went to Mpumiro, to check on the sanitation and hygiene improvement. He walked around that village with the Chairman LC1 and the VHTs, because those are the easy people to meet in the village. Martin was so encouraged to hear that, the Chairman LC1 committee members and the VHTS, last week they had a meeting, to discuss about how they can help the community members to work on their sanitation facilities. They concluded that their going to start working in their homes, so that they can be able to encourage the community members to work on their sanitation facilities. And the defense from the executive LC1 Kawanguzi Azizi, dug a new pit latrine 35ft deep it’s under construction, Moses is constructing a new kitchen with sticks and it’s roofed with grass and Lovisa byabwe, she is a widow, their grandson dug for her a new pit latrine 25ft deep it’s under construction. Martin was also encouraging those committee members to work hard on their sanitation facilities, so that they can be the example in that community and their village at all. For the community members, the group was encouraging them that even the storm destroyed their home facilities like latrines, kitchens and shower facilities, to work hard and construct them on a good standards and smear them to make them strong and clean. According to their explanation, their willing to work on those home facilities. The group walked in 36homes.
