Notes
While in the village Tom and the committee members moved in the upper section of the village along the main road towards the trading center. They started off from on of the committee members home called Mr Matia. In his home, they found he had dug a new rubbish pit as well as a new dish rack. Tom encouraged the resident to improve in the second floor of the dish rack by using stronger poles and alSo using nails. Mr Matia has also encouraged his neighbor to construct a new dish rack and Mr Matia committed to helping him construct one. From Mr Matia’s home, they moved and in three of the next home, they found new facilities. In one home they found a new latrine being constructed. The resident had plastered the walls with cement. Tom encouraged the resident to roof his Latrice to make it stronger and safer. One resident also has started on the construction of a kitchen. Tom thanked the resident for constructing the kitchen for his home. His wife was very thankful and thanked Mr Matia for encouraging her husband to construct the kitchen. As they moved around, Tom and the committee members emphasized the construction of good dish racks as well as the rubbish pits. At the church, they are constructing a new latrine and Tom encouraged the leader of the church to use better construction materials compared to the ones he was using. Tom also encouraged him to use better bricks compared to the ones he was using. In other homes, there were new pits being dug and Tom encouraged the committee members to continue following up on those residents with new pits so that they finish them. Tom promised to call the committee members to follow up on how the residents are doing especially on the section of the primary school.
