Tape went to kivule to follow up on stove usage, smearing and construction of firewood risen stands for firewood storage. She reached in the village and was welcomed by the Chairperson of the group Norah who led her to the homes of different participants to check on their progress.
She found when most people were cooking on their stoves on daily basis and this was evidenced by the absence of three stones fire in their kitchens. Also in some homes food was found cooking by itself.
Also some people had constructed firewood risen stands well stocked with wood,where as some lacked wood and Tape encouraged them to store wood in their kitchens which they will use during time of scarcity. She also encouraged those who had not constructed the fire risen stands for firewood storage to do so.
As far as smearing is concerned most people had smeared their kitchens, stoves and other home facilities. They also found some people busy smearing their stoves and kitchens.
Tape encouraged them to keep the team spirit, follow up with each other to ensure sustainability of different development programs.
