- Irene went to kagulu to teach about a balanced diet and the benefits of eating a balanced diet. Irene started with a review of the previous lessons and before starting the next lesson men requested that if women could be clean and plan on changing meals instead of preparing one meal a day despite what they leave at home the men would stop eating in restaurants and have meals with them in their homes. Also women requested that the men should help them in the hard work in the gardens and involve them in the sales so as to save what is enough for their homes. After the interaction Irene explained to the members on eating healthy and they shared the benefits of eating healthy. Irene gave examples of different meals that can locally be provided to form a healthy meal and requested the members to plant plenty in the next season to avoid shortages during the dry season. Irene also requested to demonstrate on how to make a balanced diet in the next lesson.
