Tape,Harriet,Suzan, Jessica and the three visitors Essence and Ethan went to Igerera B to practically teach the community members how to build the fuel efficient stoves. When they got there, they were happily welcomed to the village by the members who were already gathered at the meeting place. The chairperson opened the meeting with a prayer and later requested Kibo staff to take over the meeting. Tape on behalf of Kibo staff welcomed all the members to the meeting that day and then asked the members if they were ready for the first demonstration stove. In response, the members were so excited and much ready for the first stove, but before going to the home where the stove was going to be built, the visitors were each requested to introduce themselves to the community by mentioning their names and what they were doing. There after, they went together and began organizing the materials for building such as collecting water from the well, fetching dirt from the anthill while pouring it to the floor next to the kitchen. Kibo staff encouraged all the members to be participating in all the steps of stove building so as to make it much more easier and faster. After gathering the materials, Kibo staff begun mixing and measuring the dirt and soil while the members watched. This was very important because it was the first stove to be built in the village and all the members didn’t know how it was carried out.
