- Alex B met thirty six community members of Budumba about how to plant trees. There was demonstration about how to dig the holes and spacing from from one to another. He taught the community how the mvule trees are planted and also those that are related to it mostly. The mvule is a tree that grow wide with branches and tall. The roots with the ground also go a distance of which can affect the building and even toilets if is planted near of them. He told that as it is better to for one to have plan for his or her land. The distance from one hole to another for mvule should be 30 meters apart.That can allow other crops to be planted as the trees grow. Other trees like musizi can be 20 meters. He taught them how how the hole should be dug and the soil and manure should be put back before planting. He measurements were told the members of the holes They did together the demonstration of how to did the hole while taking right measurements of their length,width and height. The community participated in the digging of the hole.They also together with Alex B mixed the compost manure with the soil. After the mixing,they filled the hole they dug with the mixture soil and compost.It is done to allow the mixture to set and the heat of the mixture not to be there by the time the seedling is planted. Alex B in the next meeting will guide the community how to choose their leaders concerning the mvule community development program.
