Notes
Tom made a,visit to kishaike village to check on sanitation and hygiene improvements but focusing more on the improvements in hand washing through the construction of hand washing stands. He moved around with three committee members checking on what residents are doing as well as encouraging them on improvements and standards. They found in one home when the resident had just finished constructing a hand washing Stand. Tom and the committee members encouraged him to also add a layer of cement to make it stronger. The resident said he was going to add and improve on his latrine as well. In another hom, the resident had fully finished his hand washing stand and h had put on the cement layer as well. He was just waiting for for a jerican. In other homes, they had constructed the hand washing stands but were waiting to put the cement layer on. Tom also encouraged them on making sure that the stands are high enough and comfortable to use while washing hands. As Tom was continuing with the follow up, a heavy storm came and had to leave the village.
